Do you sometimes feel like your partner is a complete stranger? Do you often feel frustrated, distant, stuck, sometimes angry, or resentful in your relationship? Has your relationship been devastated by betrayal or affair and you are struggling to try to make your relationship work? Can you and your partner benefit from improving your communication? Are you attempting to blend different families in second or subsequent marriages? Couples typically disagree over things like values, money, trust, children, sex, commitment, and their vision of the future, including life goals. These are often complex emotional and psychological concerns that can test even the strongest relationships. All relationships take work and ongoing maintenance. Hearth Counseling & Consulting is here to help you reconnect with the person you fell in love with so that you can feel accepted, heard, and improve the trust and communication in the relationship. We have experience assisting couples in improving relationship satisfaction by teaching them how to effectively communicate, solve problems together, understand what their shared values and interests are, and address differences constructively. Through evidence-based approaches and techniques, couples can decrease conflict, tension, anger/frustration, and loneliness while cultivating intimacy, excitement, and stability in their relationship. We know it takes strength to address relational concerns and we are here to help every step of the way.
Hello! My name is Marina Cline. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in perinatal, postpartum mood, and anxiety disorder. I work with women/womxn and families who are struggling with adjusting to motherhood/parenthood, trauma, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, identity formation, and life transitions. I thrive to create a safe and supportive space for clients to address concerns, express feelings and thoughts about motherhood and parenthood that might feel scary or otherwise ashamed to talk about. Through a collaborative approach and evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solutions-Focused, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I help clients come up with tools to help them navigate difficult moments and adjust to their new life. I work from a multicultural, anti-oppressive, and social justice lens to understand the uniqueness and shared identities of each client. My therapeutic style is one of respect, empathy, compassion, humor, curiosity, acceptance, and understanding. Within the therapeutic relationship, I seek to gain an understanding of each client’s life by asking questions about their experiences, perceptions, and expectations. I am a mother to 2 humans, a dog, and a cat. I am a partner. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, hiking, spending time with friends and family, trying new food, or just binge on my favorite TV shows.
