Does it feel like things are falling apart and the center of your home cannot hold? Is your child struggling with substance use and you feel lost and afraid? Is a family member’s addiction stealing precious family moments? Are you tired of constantly arguing with your child and having a hard time setting effective boundaries? Was someone in your family recently diagnosed with a chronic health concern or mental illness and you are unsure how to cope as a family? Is your family griefing a recent loss? Are you and your partner facing conflicts in your parenting style? It is normal for families to experience strife and distress. Parenting is one of the toughest jobs out there - the teen years can be especially challenging. We are here to help! Many concerns take place in the home environment or even across households. When family members are willing to do therapy together, they can see tremendous progress. Family therapy can help unearth and better understand not only the individual’s emotional and behavioral problems but the role the family system plays in the overall functioning of each member. Many families struggle to voice certain concerns or make requests within their family, this is where family therapy can be most helpful. Together, we will help your family thrive instead of just survive. Through education, support, and guidance we will help your family to build resilience individually and together. Your family will have the opportunity to live in its values while fostering emotional intelligence and resilience in your child(ren) in a peaceful, warm, and safe environment all in the comfort of your home. Through collaborative processes, you will be able to see how patterns are being created and maintained, and how to create new and healthy patterns that strengthen the family bonds.
Hello! My name is Marina Cline. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in perinatal, postpartum mood, and anxiety disorder. I work with women/womxn and families who are struggling with adjusting to motherhood/parenthood, trauma, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, identity formation, and life transitions. I thrive to create a safe and supportive space for clients to address concerns, express feelings and thoughts about motherhood and parenthood that might feel scary or otherwise ashamed to talk about. Through a collaborative approach and evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Solutions-Focused, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), I help clients come up with tools to help them navigate difficult moments and adjust to their new life. I work from a multicultural, anti-oppressive, and social justice lens to understand the uniqueness and shared identities of each client. My therapeutic style is one of respect, empathy, compassion, humor, curiosity, acceptance, and understanding. Within the therapeutic relationship, I seek to gain an understanding of each client’s life by asking questions about their experiences, perceptions, and expectations. I am a mother to 2 humans, a dog, and a cat. I am a partner. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, hiking, spending time with friends and family, trying new food, or just binge on my favorite TV shows.
